How to support social sciences and humanities valorisation -event took place in Vienna

Experts and further interested people explored how valorisation works and how academics can be best supported to create impact beyond publishing their research.

On 21st September 2023 the University of Vienna had the chance to host the final event of the REVALORISE+ project.

REVALORISE+, an Erasmus + Knowledge Alliances project is now in its final year of working to enhance the entrepreneurial potential and social impact of social sciences and humanities (SSH) research. The main goal of REVALORISE+ is to develop a new generation of SSH valorisation champions who are empowered and enabled to use their research to impact society.

After welcoming words by Jose Villagran (UIIN) and Tobais Reckling (University of Vienna, Angelika Zelisko (University of Applied Arts Vienna) spoke about the importance of valorisation as a way to create more impact and bring research beyond academia to benefit society.

The REVALORISE+ team, Ingrid Wakkee AUAS), Jose Villagran (UIIN) and Carolin Otsing (Crazytown) presented insights from the project, you can take a look on the website to learn more on case studies, training framework, research findings and the pilot test.

This was followed by a very inspiring panel discussions in which the participants gave their insights into the topic of valorisation in SSH.

Especially the workshop and networking section in the end gave participants the opportunity to dive deeper into the topic, share their thoughts and engage with each other.
